| We sell two flavors of the CCS C
compiler: the command line compiler (PCB, PCM) and the compiler with
Windows IDE (PCW). PCW has a full IDE with many utilities to aid in
program design and editing. The C program syntax and built-in functions
are identical to the command line compilers. PCW does include the
command line compilers.
The PCW compiler has many
features to suit the programming professional. Hobbyists might
want to consider purchasing the command line version.
All of the CCS compilers are now compatible with Microchip's free MPLAB
6.10 and up (a free plug-in must be downloaded). The command line
version & MPLAB, along with an ICD would
give you an IDE & In-circuit Debugger for less than $200!
